Book Reviews - "The Grand Scam"

"What a great book. I really did enjoy it -- the plot is good. I love the characters that you establish early for continued interest. It is a fun trip you take the reader through Utah, the Southwest and surrounding areas. Good hold throughout the book. Looking forward to the next one." Sandy A. Gilbert, Arizona

"I loved this novel. The writer truly understands women and their inner feelings, unusual for a man but like the writer of 'Bridges of Madison County' he tells you how women feel, what they desire and how they achieve it. Keep up the good work. Bring us another book soon." Suzie S. Kansas City, Kansas

"It's a better read than "The brethren", by John Gresham." B. Bullen, Salt Lake City, Utah

"I know this book is based on factual events. If Sue is a real person, Ken, please introduce me to her and I will marry her, if she will have me." Jack W. Murray, Utah

"Sell me another copy of this novel, my girl friend wants to read it. She can't have mine because I want to read it again. It's so interesting it deserves a second reading." Brady D, Salt Lake City, Utah

"This novel teaches us so much about our government and what really happens in the halls of power, that it needs to be made into a movie to have the story more widely disseminated." Dr. Alex T. Salt Lake City, Utah

"I recently read a fascinating novel entitled "The Grand Scam". It is a fictionalized portrayal of the underhanded dealings in the banking - financial world during the demise of the Savings and Loan Institutions. The writer's descript of the way in which those in the know conspired to bilk the rest of us is enlightening, entertaining and, in some ways, disconcerting. I think most readers would find the book at least a fun read but more than that, given the fact that most of the incidences portrayed are based on actual events, they will get a real eduction as well.

I thoroughly enjoyed the book and would like to recommend it to anyone else interested in the world in which we must survive." Leon O., Kaysville, Utah

"I rarely read novels, and the background of accounting wouldn't seem stimulating to a superficial view, but I enjoyed this book and got a little better insight into the institutions that affect us all, but very few understand (including me)." Steve B., Sandy, Utah.

"That Marcie is a real work of art or I guess you might say a real piece of works." Kathy B., South Jordan, Utah.

"This novel should be mandatory reading assignment for all students taking political science at the University." Edie M. Salt Lake City, Utah.

"I enjoyed every minute that I read this novel. It taught me a great deal about your country." Ben E. Fiscal Manager, Enugu, Nigeria.

"I had a difficult time starting this novel, but once I got into it, I could not put it down until I finished it at 3:30 in the morning," Lee.
